I am 61 years old Ghanaian. I was born on the 4th of August, 1959. I am a native of Akropong Akuapem in the Eastern Region. I am a Presbyterian by religion and I am married with four (4) children.

RESEARCH SUMMARY AND INTEREST  

  • Up-dating records on local ceramic raw materials using unclear-related analytical techniques such as X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence analysis for their mineralogy and elemental concentrations respectively;
  • Development and production of alumino-silicate refractories from local raw materials;
  • Design and construction of gas-fired ceramic firing kilns and furnaces
  • Design and construction of firewood/gas-fired hospital incinerators for incineration of hospital wastes.

  • (2016): “Renewable energy technology transfer (RETT) project on improved domestic cookstoves and mobile charcoal kiln”;
  • (Sept. – Oct. 2016): Analyses of Briquette samples from the International Water Management Institute;
  • ( Aug.- Oct. 2016): Laboratory analyses of selected locally manufactured cookstoves for the setting of benchmark using the Laboratory Emissions Monitoring System (LEMS);
  • (Jul.-Dec. 2015): Design and construction of Hospital incinerators for the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission Clinic;
  • 2011: Design and construction of Hospital incinerators for the Nkroful Health Centre and Half Assini Government Hospital;
  • (March-June 2011);Leader of the team which wrote and defended a project proposal at the cost of forty-four Ghana Cedis GH₵44,000.00) for the construction of two (2) incinerators under the sponsorship of KOSMOS ENERGY GHANA for the Ellembelle and Jomoro District Hospitals
  • 2010: Design and construction of fire pots for the Seridem-Palm Company Limited at Asuom in the Kwaebibrim District;
  • 2010: Restructuring of the Mbroh Ceramics Limited in Winneba under the auspices of the British Council.
  • 2007: Design and construction of Hospital incinerators for the Ga East, Atiwa and Kwahu West District Hospitals.

  • external examiner to the graduate School of the kwame nkrumah university of science and technology: assessed the msc. Thesis and oral examination of mr. kwabena appiah boakye Titled:“Improvement of Setting Time and Early Strength Development of Pozzolana Cement through Chemical Activation” in partial fulfillment for the award of the M.Sc. Degree in Materials Engineering in June 2013.

  • Chairman for the Working Group (WG) of ISO/TC 285 mirror committee responsible for drafting a working draft standards for stove testing for the entire Mirror Committee, Ghana Standards Authority, Accra, (March, 2014 –date)

  • Member of the Ghana Action Plan Lunching Committee of Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves at West End Hotel, Accra (October 2012).
