The Country Director for SNV, Ghana, Madam Barbara White Nkoala, has reinforced SNV’s commitment to establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with like-minded institutions to pursue efforts that are geared towards impacting lives.
Madam Barbara White Nkoala intimated that CSIR for decades, has been very instrumental in the research and development space with its immense contributions to growth opportunities and evolving technological infrastructure which has supported the development of the country. The Country Director accompanied by Mr. Reuben Ottou, an Advisor at SNV Ghana Office were welcomed by a team of research scientists at the CSIR-Institute of Industrial Research.
The meeting which was chaired by Dr. Trinity Ama Tagbor discussed the upcoming Annual Research and Industry Meeting being organized by the local Chapter of the Research Staff Association (RSA) of the Institute. The Annual Meeting aims at providing an avenue for research staff to engage industry to get to know their problems and utilize research and technology to provide innovative solutions to drive economic growth and national development, Dr. Tagbor intimated while welcoming the team from SNV.
She thanked the SNV team for their readiness to partner CSIR-IIR and the commitment to support the upcoming event. We are glad to have you us our partners and we envisage to formalize this arrangement with an MOU and will appreciate your active participation in our upcoming event, she noted. The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2024 and expected to bring together about thirty stakeholders within the industry and research space.
